Guys, this smart seminar was awesome! This was hosted by two young Asian Internet marketer’s - Stuart Tan and Simon Leung.

I am impressed with their speakers from US, Anik Singal, Donna Fox, Dr.Ben Mack, Mark Widawer, Paulie Sabol, Ross Goldberg, Lee and Robin Collins, Mike Morgan and Ewen Chia. All these guys are brilliant and they were willing to share their secrets of how to do online business.

Although I am not interested in their products that they promoted after every presentation (’coz I have enough spending money on these - I need to get started!), I’m able to get some secrets of starting my websites in a ‘correct’ way rather than just walking to the wrong direction.

Recently I went for the local bootcamp with one of my friend at Cystal Crown Hotel, presented by Gobala Krishnan and special speaker, Sunny Tan about Internet Marketing.

I guess everyone who has been to this bootcamp have already posted their pictures.

Let me share with you my pictures here.

Me and Gobala Krishnan. I have learnt a lot from his bootcamp and thanks for your guidance and the bootcamp is awesome! When he made his “profitblogger” people were literally running out off the room to sign-up.

Although Sunny Tan is a bit more low profile and low key as what gobala said, he is really active and good in giving the presentation. You got to know him if you wan to learn more how to buying and selling websites and SEO.

All in all, Internet Millionaires was great for me as I met a lot of people. The most important thing is that I really learnt a lot from this bootcamp and inspired me with many new tips and ideas came into my mind.

What is Verified by Visa (Vbv)?

I would say that it is just a free security service designed by Visa to verify and confirm your identity by asking your password (here it refers to Personal Pin number) and personal message when you shop online. 

My friends asked me how to enroll and activate Vbv for the Public Bank visa card and obtain a new password and personal message.

Now, here is the way!

Follow the instruction carefully as below:

1. Visit http://www.pbebank.com. On your left bottom, you will find the logo like below. Click on it and it will direct you to another page.

2. Select the type of your card. (Visa / Master)

3. Next, fill in all the details inside the text box. Once it’s completed, click on ‘Activate Now’ button.

• Credit Limit: If you are using Public Pank Visa Electron, just leave the textbox blank OR you can enter six digits of ‘0’ – e.g. ‘000000′
• Mother’s Maiden Name is your mum’s full name.

4. If the enrollment is not successful, key in your details once again. Note: You only have 3 times to activate your accounts. If all are failed, your account will temporary be LOCKED! So, check them carefully before you activate it.

My account was locked (screenshot as above) and it was a  mistake from public bank, i guess, who had key in my mum’s name wrongly. But I can finally enrolled the account after I called up Public Bank Cetre for the assistance.

If you have the same problem like me, just call their number at 03-21768000 to unlock your account.

5. If the enrollment is successful, you will get to proceed to the next page as below:

You just key in all the information into the given text box. Click ‘Submit’ button and you are done! 

6. Everytime you purchase online, you will be asked to key in your Personal Pin number to verify that you are the one who order the products as below.  Check the personal message. If you found the message is not as same as you enrolled before, DO NOT proceed your purchase. Call the public centre for help. It must be a fraud!

That’s all for my today guidelines specially done for Malaysian like you. But, I think the way is similar to other local or foreign bank as well.

SIMPLE CASE STUDY 1:

Based on the statistic given by Department of Statistic Malaysia, our total population now is 27.73 million.

Regardless of the group age <15 years (32%) - ‘bcoz they have NO purchasing power at all; and the group age >65 years (4.5%) -  old people are having less interest in buying thru online;

The left amount we got that has the intention to use Internet is 63.5% (17.61 million).

If we can convert 1% of 17.61 million into profit and assuming that the product is selling $1, the net profit that we get is $176,100. It sounds great, right?

But, don’t forget to deduct the number of those people who are living in rural area with no Internet connection; a group of people who are working for a decent non-stop 9-5 job; housewifes who are buzy in household work; etc. 

SIMPLE CASE STUDY 2:

Case 1 is considered as a simple assumption. If we think more deeply, you would discover that there is a group of people who have a better or higher chance of purchasing products or services online. They are from those ‘Income group’.

Getting the figure from the 2^nd quarter of year 2008 – only 11 million of people who are employed and earn the income. If the response rate of buying online products is 1% of 11 million, simple maths, it is equal to $11,000. In other words, we are able to make the amount of $11,000 from this income group in just a single month!!

Again, this figure does not explain much as no real survey was done. However, it proved to me that running online business is workable as Internet users keep increasing in every single day.

I’m truely believed that with no social network, we can’t hold our Internet marketing journey for longer period. We must have a group of people or lists to whom we can serve to, link and keep in touch so that people are aware of our news, latest products and services.

There are plenty of free social bookmarking in the Internet that provide a powerful element that we can sign up and use in our blog.

I attached here with all the websites that is specifically providing such a service. Some are search engines that work similar like Googles or Yahoo for searching blogs; some allows user to send and read other user’s updates and some are used to share videos clips.

I think many of you have seen them before but do not know what these tools can actually help you up. I will give some techniques on how to create them into our blog in my next coming articles.

Just for the reminder, don’t overload with all these services because not all of these are related or suitable for you. People will feel annoying if you create too many of these elements. In fact, most of them are performing similar functions.

You must choose them wisely based on your need and what sort of niche content you have. For instance, if you are a great guitarist, you might want to have a video clip at Youtube.com to show your talent in playing guitar as well as introducing yourself.

When I was purchasing for my new domains yesterday, I saw there is a textbox that can insert a coupon code.  What is coupon code? I believe most people know what is all about. But I would like to share this titbit to those who are still new in Internet Marketing.

I would say coupon code refers to a ticket that can be exchanged for financial discount or rebate when purchasing a product. Some web hosting companies such as namecheap.com or goDaddy.com refer it as “coupon codes” or “promote codes”. 

You can find coupon code for the following benefits:

·     Dollar-off discounts

·     Percent off savings

·     Free item with purchase exclusive

·     Exclusive offer for buying domain type (e.g. .INFO domain ONLY $0.99)

·     Private sales

·     Free shipping

·     Discount When purchase in bulk, etc.

These are some of the patterns being played around to suit your need. Some web hosting companies offer such a discount in every single month. Each coupon code would have its own expired date.

Many bloggers like to share this information on their page. You can just search it from Google.com by entering the keyword - “coupon code”. It will direct you to many web addresses which is related to the particular Web Hosting’s coupon list. One of the example I can show you here is http://godaddy.couponcodesmall.com

Due to the lack of my budget and the exchange rate of dollar(US) to Ringgit(Malaysia), I have no choice but to search for such discount. This would mean a lot for you when you are having some difficulties in cash flow like me. Hope this short article would help you to understand it better.

When we read a text book, the info that we get is far more obsolete than we read a blog. You must know that those people who wrote a text book would have to spend a lot of time to compile all the information from many sources before it is publicized to society. Some of the information is outdated and it might not be able to use for current situation. While it is started selling out to any bookstore, the information is more than 5 years old.

In this fast changing business environment, information will become an obsolete after 2-3 years. IT industry is one of the best examples that we are experiencing now. If they do not progress their business quickly, they will be left behind and lose their market share.

So, it is my personal advice that reading any blog you want that gives you a certain values and benefits. The only drawback of blog is that some info that we get might not be relevant or true. Therefore, we must know how to choose a correct and suitable blog to read.

We are read and overloaded with information like how to earn the 1st dollar in online, how to sell ebook, etc… The saddest thing is we seriously do not know what we are reading sometimes and how to start from the very first step. We keep asking someone from forum, blog, msn, email and yet you can’t find the effective way of working with it. I understand this could be our nightmare dream.

There are many ways of achieving your goals. BUT I feel the most important thing is your DETERMINATION & PERSERVERANCE of moving along towards your goal. Secondly, many people will tell us that we need to FOCUS and to have a good and effective SYSTEM. I agreed with it. Many of us would have failed to have a good plan in a regular basis because we are easily get distracted by many things.

Brian Tracey, the ‘Ultimate Goal Program’ said, to achieve many goals, is by achieving one goal at a time; same thing to asking –

How Do You Eat an ELEPHANT?

ONE BITE AT A TIME!

What I truly believed is that you MUST also take many ACTIONs. Many people study a lot of books but, they practically do little for them. Most of the time the goal will never be achieve because of lack of effort and easily give up. This group of people is fear failure more than death. Are you one of them?

As what Malaysian Guru, Gobala Krishnan wrote, you don’t need to know everything to be successful; you just need to know one thing (BE FOCUSED) and do it very well. To do anything well, however, you need to take ACTION. You need to try and fail, and try and fail again till you succeed.

So just concentrate in one at a time. Come out with a viable SYSTEM and take ACTION on it and see what happen next. If it is failed, change the SYSTEM and repeat to take action once again until you feel satisfied with your result. Once the task has completed, start moving to another important task. 

Talking about system, it let me reflects to the failure of M’sia educational system. What we learn in high school is totally crap and it does not make us to think out of box.

When I was studying in my secondary school, I was just LISTENING to what was being taught by my teacher. There is no interaction of learning. We were not used to ask question when we not understand a topic (especially those who are from Chinese school). A student like me was facing a hard time to perform well in getting a good result.

During my life in university, I came to realize that all these are somehow effect my study growth. So I took a step to change my study attitude rather than just simply memorizing all the tips and hints which was given by a lecturer. I designed a system and started studying using that system; I focused in one subject first before moving to another; I took an initiative step to ask friends’ or lecturers’ help; I did many research works to find out the best info for answering the question; I studied earlier before the exam. I finally found out that it worked well-indeed!

Why I shared this story with you is because the way of achieving your goal is simply similar to the way of how you achieve a great result in your study.

Another good example is about your business planning. When you start to work for your business planning(SYSTEM), make sure it is viable and start working on it(ACTION). Change or repeat it once again if you think that you are still not yet satisfied with the planning.
